My career as a traditional osteopathic family physician began after completing my undergraduate degree at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA and medical training at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. I completed my internship and family medicine residency at Clarion Hospital in Clarion, PA. Upon graduation, I quickly realized that traditional medicine alone did not adequately improve my patients' health. I began to search for alternative and complimentary therapies that would assist my patients in a holistic healing process. 

 

As I continued to expand my knowledge in alternative and complimentary therapies, my experience as an integrative physician began to unfold while I served as a Family Medicine Residency Director and Director of Medical Education at multiple facilities across the United States. I accrued many years of experience in the  traditional health care setting, including years of training in emergency and hospital based medicine. I was nominated for the AOA Mentor of the Year in 2009 and became a member of the iLearn AOA Mentor Hall of Fame in 2009.

In 2009, I established one of the first Integrative Concierge Medicine practices in rural America (Kittanning, PA).  The success of our initial location enabled us to open a second location in Scottsdale, AZ.  In 2012, I was recognized as one of the "Top Docs to Watch" by Concierge Medicine Today. Over the years, I have continued to build my  knowledge and skillset by serving as  a medical director for skilled nursing facilities, insurance companies, and most recently as the Integrative Medicine Medical Director for Community Health Network in Indianapolis, Indiana were I was tasked with building an integrative medicine program from the ground up. I have continued to have the honor and opportunity to educate other physicians at the national level along the way.
